Shelley Martin
Short Biography
Shelley grew up in church. She has been involved in ministry from a very young age. She first sang in church at the age of 5. As she grew up into her teen years, she was very involved in the music ministry at her church. She was the secretary to the music pastor for many years. After Shelley graduated from High School, she went to Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, GA. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in voice performance and church music.
Two years after starting at Toccoa Falls College, Shelley met Joel Martin online and soon was married in May of 2002. Since being married, Shelley has been involved in ministry with Joel in many different positions. Shelley and Joel have held positions such as music and media directors, children’s pastors, and youth pastors, and even pastored a church for 2 ½ years in Winder, GA.
Since being married, Shelley and Joel have adopted 2 children: Michael (14) and Whitley (12), and after 7 years of trying, had their first child Aaron who is now 10 years old. When Aaron was 2 years old, they continued to try, and Shelley miscarried 2 babies. Finally, in 2017, God blessed them with their now 5-year-old son Josiah. They have truly seen the blessings of the Lord within the 20 years they have been married.
Since being a pastor in Winder GA., Shelley has helped her husband Joel in other ministry endeavors in different churches and places. They now reside in Hollywood, GA. where they continue to help in their church in different ministries that are needed. As their ministry continues to grow, they endeavor to see the Lord bless others in the way only He can bless.
